You are correct. The lack of specificity opens up the way for anyone to be quarantined for whatever is perceived to be a threat, even if it’s not. In the beginning, quarantines were invoked for typhoid, diphtheria, tuberculosis and the like. TB cases will rise exponentially with the influx of millions of people from areas of the world where it is endemic. Quarantine is not the answer. Masking little kids while completely ignoring the real public health threats is so irresponsible. Gotta get those Biden lovers on board, though.
Thank you, Stone! I say with absolute honesty that I am humbled to have any subscribers beyond my man, my sister, and a friend who knows about my anon efforts lol =)
I m in NY, trying to decide if we should move to a less fascistic state. But maybe Buckaroo Banzai was right—no matter where you go, there you are. Maybe no matter where we are, it's gonna be roughly the same fight.
There's a lot of truth in that, but.... I moved here 2+ years ago from WNY. In your other comment you mentioned Hochul and DeSantis being different sides of the same coin. In regard to this matter, yes, absolutely. However, FL is so different from NY in many ways. Legislation has been passed to make CBDC's illegal, to allow for constitutional carry, and much more.
I felt oppressed in NY and had far more issues with mandates on the state level. There's also the progressive politics. I knew it would get worse under Hochul, and it has. Here, there's breathing room and a fighting chance.
Cost of living is higher compared to WNY, even before inflation ramped up. Housing is insanely expensive because of the influx of people from other parts of the country. Basic economics of supply and demand in action. Car insurance is insane, and I used to be a broker in NY, so I know NY has some of the highest rates in the nation. Here, it's 3 times as much for the same coverage. Property insurance is high due to fraud. Nonetheless, I would never go back. If - or when - things really go sideways, I'd rather fight from Florida or Texas. This state has more Constitutional freedoms than NY by a long shot, and the weather is WAY nicer.
DeSantis may not be what he appears, simply playing the game for political advancement, but good things have happened. I don't think this particular statute negates that, but it is something we need to address with our lawmakers.
I feel you on all that, and have had similar thoughts. I even went down and looked at land in the counties north of Gainesville. But it was so much more expensive there—and those were the cheap counties.
Gainesville area has some lovely country. We are in Duval. Easy drive to the beach, but low storm area. We decided to buy when high interest rates cooled the market to neutral for a while. It was just too competitive with people offering $50-$70k+ over list in our price range. We can refinance if rates ever go down enough, but I did not have the means to outbid people from big cities making cash offers.
I also work more hours for less money, so there's that. I still make ~$5 less per hour than I did 2.5 years ago in NY. Still, I love my new life here.
News Flash….! People moved to Florida from up north (mostly NY) many many moons ago because Fl has No State Income Tax! Full Stop. Insurance is sky high (House) due to more Intense Storms from Climate Change and the Fraud you speak of is due to Sham Insurance companies mostly from up North (carpet beggars) who happily took premiums, then Fled the State in mass after the Damage Was Done! Don’t feel lonely, Insurance Companies did the Same Exact Thing over here in La.!
I wouldn’t worry too much about those laws on the books where you breathe-much-easier…Sooner then you think Fl and the Rest of the Southern Waterfront States will be Underwater from that Big Hoax Climate Change! So Call Fraud all you want, but Not Too Loudly, “Someone” may just shoot you!
My story is much like yours, I didn't lose my job but I left NYS to move to Florida last year and I then discovered this a few months later.
At least FL is better on the school front? 😬🤞 I'm hoping at least lol. Anyhow thank you for taking the time to reach out to DeSantis about this. I'm curious to see what answer you'll receive.
NGL. For the past year I’ve been considering getting a second home outside of the US and am working towards that future for my family. There’s some real sketchy things happening in this country right now. Luck favors the prepared.
Letter sent. Thank you. I knew these were here, but I was living in denial. Or I was focusing on more positive things. Call it what you will. I sent an email and a hand written letter. We do not abide medical rapists.
Well-said. Thus far I have received not one response from the Governor nor my senators or congressman on any issue I've reached out about. Nonetheless, we must keep letting them know these things are not acceptable and that we will hold them accountable. They are our employees and we pay their salaries. There needs to be more firing going on.
This is an excellent post. Good research, good letter. Well done!
One thing that nags at me, though…
“It’s long past time for “We the People” to stand up, make our voices heard, and put the authoritarian globalist elites on notice that we will NOT let them take everything away from us and control every aspect of our lives.”
So we do that. What then?
DeSantis was arguably the best state governor we had. Hochul was among the worst. Here we see that they turn out to be not quite the same, but two sides of the same coin.
So if all we do is replace them with more of the same, how do we expect that they won't subject us to some variant of the same thing? How will putting more people in charge of our lives—other people, different people, “better” people—really fix anything.

Thank you, I appreciate the feedback! You pose an excellent question. I do not have answers. However, I do have thoughts, but I am at work. I think this is a really important discussion to have, especially for people like me who see the "what", but are frustrates by the " how?" I'll try to gather my thoughts and comment later.
I suspected - and hoped - you would have something to point me to. Thank you. Looking forward to reading that. Also, changed the color scheme of my stack. I prefer a dark background, but I'm not the one reading it. Others may also find it uncomfortable, so I appreciate you mentioning that.
I had occasion, as a Community Health Nurse, to participate in the forced quarantine of a woman with active tuberculosis who refused treatment, and the LOE secured her, transported her to the single state TB facility for involuntary treatment. There were not a few men who were convinced, by threat of arrest, to be treated for documented syphilis. There are a limited number of diagnoses that warrant forced treatment, but that number should be very small, and COVID exposure or diagnosis isn’t one of them.
I appreciate your first-hand perspective on this matter. I do understand that there are diseases such a tuberculosis that are a public health threat. It may be that “covid” is not currently a diagnosis in your state or other states that warrants forcible quarantine. The concern is multi-factorial: the list of diagnoses that trigger enforcement of such statutes can be expanded. The wording of some of these statutes (I have not read them all) is quite vague and non-specific. Also, SARS-CoV-2 is not and never was a serious health threat to the vast majority of people, as evidenced by the >99.9% global survival rate. My greatest concern, and the concern of many others, is that these statutes put everyone at risk when the next manufactured “public health emergency” comes along. It is a very recent occurrence for some states to even have such statutes on the books. Given what we have seen thus far, it does not bode well.
All this is coming over our Borders. 10M illegals from over 150 countries. They're not checked or vetted. Gi en $5K Debit cards, IFs, airline tickets and flown all across America...
I'm with you. Problem is that if you claim to be a US citizen and file your taxes you have given up your access to the constition. The United States is a corporation based in Delaware. It is owned by the Vatican. Under the constitution for the Republic of the United States of America we are supposed to be State Citizens. The game board is tricky and deep. If we do claim to be United States citizens, of the corporation, we are actually considered enemies of the state. It's a long twisted story yet it's true and obviously not done in transparency. Great email. It will be interesting to see if you get a response. I have never trusted DeSantis though they made him appear to be a freedom guy. The tentacles are deep and twisted. Cheers brother!!
I'd have to read the statues again. I do know it was amended to be more vague and broader in scope, which takes something bad and makes it far worse. DeSantis fought for his own "medical freedom" bill, despite a far superior one having been crafted that provides some real protection. His is the one that was pushed through. Also, some of the "protections" expire within a couple of years. All highly suspect.
I'm familiar with the rumors and these claims. Though I am suspicious of him in terms of his motives and what he will or will not do for political gain, this is still largely circumstantial. The retired infantryman interviewed is not on video being interviewed, so, that could be anyone. I'm not saying none of this is true, but I'm skeptical all the way around about literally everything, because the IC is extremely active against the American people.
Truth. It was hidden in a Bill DeSantis signed.

I thought I was already subscribed to you; I have now remedied that 😉
And thanks for the heads-up; I'll have to check Missouri's when I get a chance.
Thank you, Stone! I say with absolute honesty that I am humbled to have any subscribers beyond my man, my sister, and a friend who knows about my anon efforts lol =)

It's been over 2 months and no response. In fact, I've received no acknowledgement of any letters sent to senators and congressman, either.
As for schools, that I can't attest to as I do do not have kids. Seems like good things have happenedito reduce woke ideology in FL schools, at least.

I imagine forcible quarantine is a very bright line for most people. Any state that moves to implement it is likely to find a rough go of it.
I absolutely hope so! If something like this does not galvanize action to resist and oppose, I fear nothing would.
I wonder, do most of them date back to the Patriot/Prep Act period, or are they even older, emerging with the concept of "public health"?
Many of them are new, passed in recent years. Florida's was modified in 2023, so safe to say it's not some moldy statute everyone forgot about.
This is an excellent post. Good research, good letter. Well done!

Thanks. We can have the discussion anytime. (Though maybe in Notes, because my eyes go buggy looking at white text on black background.)
As to the how—there is a broad literature on the subject. The reading list at the end here is a good start: https://christophercook.substack.com/p/no-way-i-can-convince-you-anarchism

Thank you :-) If I were the only one, I wouldn't even mention it, figuring I am just a freak. But I have talked to others who are impacted as well.
Happy to keep this convo going. There is hope!
In fact, people are already working on it…

You're welcome! It's yet another wake up call. We need to be VERY vocal and persistent with our lawmakers about this and so much more.
